Needlepoint - reworked

Quite sometime ago, I posted about my work with reworking some needlepoint pieces.   You can see Blog HERE  and below.   I loved the little cats and the iris but wasn't totally satisfied with them.   The others looked so much richer and elegant.
A couple of nights ago, I took them apart and redid them.

What do you think?

I think they look framed and so much more elegant.

Lakeland Fun Day Workshops - 4 Trunks

When I was in Orlando in February, I met Cathy Skeris at a dinner with about 8 or more other miniaturists.   She was showing some trunks she had made and was planning on having a workshop at the Lakeland Show.  They were lovely and I waited until the schedule came out and immediately decided to take her class.     It was great fun and I am glad to say that I finally finished them.   We left that day with all 4 trunks assembled and the larger trunk totally finished.

They were a great project.

These trunks are absolutely wonderful.   Don't know what I will put in them yet, but I'm sure it will come to me quickly.

Attic - Shared project

This morning I got an email from Carole Creedon and she shared her Attic Project with me..   Our most recent swap with Name Region E-3 was themed "in the attic".   I loved the projects that were made for this swap, but seldom do I get to see how participants use them.   She gave her okay to share it with my followers.

Carole, thanks so much for sharing!!!

Yard Sale Saturday No. 6

Does it seem like a long time.   I missed posting last Saturday because I was at a miniature show in Lakeland.   Didn't go to a yard sale, but I'm back.   There was only one yard sale in my neighborhood today, but I went.   These poor folks have at least on other yard sale recently because they are moving to Arizona.   Wouldn't want to be there just now with all the people flooding over the border.

I got two oval frames that will house pictures of my granddaughter and a music box   The music box has seen better days but the device making the music still works.   I will probably change it to sit on it's end and make a piece of assemblage art from it.   Stay tuned.

Spent a grand total of 75 cents.   Can't go wrong with that amount considering the entertainment I get from it.

Well, I don't often post follow-ups, but I got my handy-dandy gold paint out and gave a quick touch up to the frames and put two of my favorite pictures of Kaylin in them.

Isn't she a doll!
